Track and Trace - How to implement it in my organization?

Digitalization and data-driven networking are becoming increasingly important in the context of Industry 4.0. By means of track and trace, individual production and logistics processes are vertically connected to each other via data-based product monitoring.

The particular challenge for the use of track and trace systems is represented by heterogeneous sales structures. In order to ensure the holistic recording of the products via their identifying characteristic, a check at every possible station in the logistics process is necessary. This requires a close and intense cooperation with all participants along the supply chain.

Once this is ensured, each authorised representative is able to track, where the product is located, who is currently working on it, what components are still missing, when the product will be completed... and so on.

The data obtained can be communicated not only within the production chain, but also to the customer, who wins a live update to his product.

In order to be able to implement this, the individual products require a unique and clearly identifiable feature. With the help of forgery-proof serialization, each product is assigned a unique serial number, the serial code. From a data perspective, exactly this serial code can serve as the basis for setting up a track and trace system.

We are happy to create a concept with you to integrate your track and trace system along your value chain.
