IT security around the clock is only economically reasonable, if there is an external service provider. This way costs can be shared between many users. It is BRAINORITY's responsibility, to guarantee the security and the protection of MailsAndMore users regarding emails. Therefore a Hot Update Center was installed, to search for active and passive threats around the clock, in order to protect companies from unwanted emails. MailsAndMore offers a software product paired with the appropriate service. This is a unique concept, and differs from other software products, because their effectiveness depends on the permanent administration of the end user. MailsAndMore customers can subscribe to the Hot Update Service instead. |

Signatures are developed at the BRAINORITY data center using various methods and sources to identify new threats on the internet. The deployment to the subscribers of the Hot Update Service is performed by email. Only new signatures have to be distributed and update the security database in every installation. This way a new security signature can be made effective for each subscriber within a few minutes. A variety of sources is analyzed every day around the clock to identify new threads and spams, that have occurred. Using a special technology security risks are actively searched. In case such a new thread is detected, a signature is automatically distributed to the subscribers of Hot Update Service within a few minutes. That way the company is protected, before the actual damaging or unwanted email gets to their email server. The distribution of the signatures is performed via email. They are sent as an attachment to each MailsAndMore installation in a product specific and encoded representation. The product identifies the format and instantly adds the new signature to its security database, where they come into effect straight away. |
